Cárdenas will lead three ekphrastic workshops at the day-long [mid(we)st] lit fest in conjunction with the 16th St. Open Studios (central location), the Racine Art Museum, and OS Projects Gallery. Participants can take the 45 minute workshop and then create an ekphrastic poem inspired by a work of art at any of the participating art spaces. There will be an opportunity near the day's end to read your poem aloud along with the other participants.
